  About the course:

Self-discovery and self-awareness are essential to developing our capacity to lead; providing opportunities for youth to grow and lead in healthy ways is imperative to the development of your child. Rivers demand attention, understanding, and reverence all while working together in the context of a team. There is no better classroom that works both individual and group elements together at the same time.

By pairing paddling with an expedition mindset, students will have the opportunity to explore leadership roles, develop communication styles, and continue to work on paddling skills at the same time. Students will learn the basics of expedition paddling with the chance to practice paddling with equipment in their kayaks, working together to plan and execute an overnight river trip, and experience the thrill and adventure found when expedition meets kayaking.

My son loved this trip! He wants to go again next season. Chris and Lydia do a great job of planning everything from food and accommodations to shuttling and emergency preparedness. My son came back from this trip a little more mature and responsible than when he left! Thanks, Chris. Oh, and his paddling improved 10 fold.
